Guided Gold Prospecting

Step into a real North Carolina creek and learn how to read the river like a prospector. We will teach you where gold hides, how water moves it, and how to recover it using traditional prospecting methods.

We provide the equipment, instruction, and guidance. You keep every piece of gold you find.

The Story Behind Eureka Gold Panning

Hi, I'm Michael, the owner of Eureka Gold Panning.

I got into gold prospecting out of simple curiosity. What started as a hobby quickly turned into something I genuinely enjoy—spending time in the creeks, learning the land, and seeing what turns up in the pan.

Eureka Gold Panning was created to share that experience with others.

Whether we're set up at your event with our mobile gold and gem panning station or out in a North Carolina creek, the goal is the same: give people a real, hands-on experience they can actually take part in.

We're not a theme park attraction, and we don't use “salted” dirt. We focus on giving people a chance to learn the basics, get their hands dirty, and experience the process the way real prospectors do.

As a Marine Corps veteran, I bring discipline, patience, and attention to detail to everything we do. My goal is to make the experience fun, approachable, and memorable for all ages.

I can't promise you'll strike it rich.

But I can promise you'll learn something, find a few treasures, and walk away with a story worth telling.
